Poplar Bluff Sho-Me Band

Mrs. Debbie Winters has been assisting with the Sho-Me band percussion section since 2002.  She has assisted with marching band, concert bands, and percussion solos and ensembles.

 

Mrs. Winters, a 1996 graduate of Poplar Bluff, attended Missouri State University in Springfield, MO.  She graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education (Percussion).  While in Springfield, she worked with several high school drumlines including Parkview High School, Glendale High School, and Hillcrest High School. She also performed with the Springfield Symphony and Springfield Opera. After graduation, she taught band in Springfield before returning home to Poplar Bluff.  Mrs. Winters then taught music several years at the Poplar Bluff 5th & 6th Grade center before becoming a stay-at-home mom.

 

Along with assisting the band, she currently gives private piano and percussion lessons and enjoys homeschooling her two daughters, Hannah and Bethany.
